The Michigan Daly Running Blog

Allow me to introduce this site

Hello, friends! Welcome to my little blog/word vomit of my day-to-day training and occasional hot takes. Thanks for taking the time to look this over. Whether you are an avid runner, looking to get into the sport, or have zero interest in it I’m glad you are here. To make a long story short, I set a goal for myself to run 3000 miles as I attempt to reignite my running career after a hiatus from competition since high school (you can gloss over my high school results here. I also set some intermediary goals that involve races, just to keep the motivation up. Therefore, I chose to make this the topic for my Capstone project as a way of holding myself. But, more importantly, I wanted to shed light on something I am super passionate about for those who are interested. In fact, I’m so passionate about it, I can’t help but share! My goal is to pull back the curtain, show the setbacks I encountered, and bequeath lessons I’ve learned the hard way. This website will include a more personal letter, a weekly recap of all the training I did in the first half of the Winter Semester 2024, general advice on how to get into running, an “about me” tab, and some photos of cool running routes for those looking for inspiration in the Ann Arbor area. Please direct any questions/comments to smdaly@umich.edu. Thanks again, and enjoy!
